Just a few concession stand reminders:

First and foremost - THANK YOU, your time and help is invaluable

Plan to arrive at 5:30 pm unless other plans have been made in advance with the Concession Stand Chair

Unless you want to pay for parking, please park by the band room, or outside the fenced area.

There is a gate right outside of the concession that is the pass gate you just need to tell the worker (if there is anyone ) that you are working in the concession stand, then come to the main concession stand, sign in and then we will get you assigned to a job.

Make sure you sign the DHS concession stand sheet and list your child and sign that you are there on the signature line.

No one under the age of 18 is allowed to work or be in the concession stand due to Morgan County Health Dept Rules.

There are "concession worker cups" that are different than the ones we sell from.  Workers are welcome to a drink, with a lid and a straw, and to be thrown away as soon as you have finished.

If you plan to eat while you are working, make your purchase, and consume your food in the back or outside of the concession stand.

If you need to leave please let someone know, (i.e. Danielle Clark or Carolyn Vaden)  so we know how many people we have.

If you have a special situation (i.e.  - I will be late, need to leave in the middle) please email Danielle at dhsbandandguard@gmail.com or call her at 256-345-8462 ahead of time so that she knows how to best assign our help.

General Band Fee: $175.00 due by September 1, 2010

Concession Stand:
The concession stand is our how we raise our operating funds for the band.  A representative of each band member is required to work in the concession stand a minimum of two times.  A sign-up sheet will be available during all of Band Camp.  Those that have not signed up by the end of band camp will be assigned a time to work.  It will be your responsibility to find a substitute to work your shift if you are unavailable.

Chaperones:
Tammie Clark is the Chaperone Coordinator.  There will be a chaperone meeting during band camp.  You will be required to have attended the chaperone meeting in order to be eligible to chaperone games and competitions.  Sign-up sheets will be at the chaperone meeting and at the end of band camp.  Seniority is given to chaperones by the grade level of their student. (Seniors – 1st, Juniors – 2nd, Sophomores – 3rd, and Freshman – 4th)  You must have chaperoned two games/ competitions to be eligible to chaperone a trip.

Pit Crew:
This is a very important group and the most consistent of members.  The pit crew loads and unloads (with the help of band members) all the band equipment and show props.  The drive the truck and they also help the Front Ensemble on and off the field.

Fundraising:
This group organizes fundraisers to help individual band members raise money to help pay for their band fees.  We need a group of people that have an interest in this area to help with this very valuable area.
